Jimmy Chow has more than 28 years of professional experience in the hospitality and tourism industry that includes overseas postings in London, China and Singapore. In the past 20 years, Jimmy has held various positions including that of Vice president, Director of Hotels, and General Manager.
He has been involved in the construction and pre‐opening of hotels and has also carried out refurbishment and total renovations of several properties. In addition, Jimmy has been involved in feasibility studies and advising owners in the acquisition of hotels. As a General Manager, in the role of being responsible for the entire operation and profitability of several hotels, he has on numerous occasions conducted troubleshooting, identifying weaknesses, and improved the business for owners.
Jimmy has a passion for education and training and has been invited as a guest lecturer to address students at institutions of higher learning pursuing courses in hospitality and tourism management. Jimmy extensive experience is backed by a solid academic foundation and has several qualifications which include a Master of Science (Tourism Management and Planning) from Bournemouth University. Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from AHLA. Diploma in Hotel Management (AHMA). Certificate of Specialization in Marketing and Sales (AHMA). Certificate of Specialization in Food and Beverage Management (AHMA). He has also attended several specialized course which include, Finance for Non-Financial managers, Business Strategy, Marketing, Leadership, and Revenue Management among others.
