Recognized by many as a person that possessed exceptional people relations and interpersonal skills, Dato’ Khoo started his journey in hotel industry back in 2001 as Sr. Sales Manager with E&O Hotel Penang, before worked up his experience and leadership skills as General Manager with several other well-known hotels. Have served MAH Penang Chapter for three terms as Chairman, and also the Management Committee of MAH before taking up the position of Vice President of MAH National Board, Dato’ Khoo has always been committed and contributed much to the association and also the hotel and tourism industry. He was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors for Penang Global Tourism in 2015 and currently serves as Board of Director for Penang Conventions and Events Bureau (PCEB). Dato’ Khoo holds Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) from American Hotel & Lodging Association, was awarded Darjah Johan Negeri (DJN) by Penang State Government in 2017, and Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) in 2023 which carries the title Datuk from Tuan Yang Terutama (TYT) of Pulau Pinang.
